The best pizzas in Geneva: flame cooked in a real pizza oven, absolutely delicious and big enough that you could share one between 2 if you took a salad or entrée as well. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is casual: like a typical Italian restaurant in Italy (wood and classical decor, TV for the football). It is very close to the main hospital so ideal for anyone working late or visiting relatives. Highly recommended :)
Eggplant on pizza was not cooked Meanwhile, the pizza crust was tasty. I don't understand what's going on in the kitchen. I feel you're rushing certain orders and don't take care over the way the pizza is made and cooked. This is the second time I order takeout here and each time the toppings have issues.
Title: A Pleasant Experience at Pasta d'Oro
Review:
We recently dined at Pasta d'Oro, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The outdoor seating had plastic chairs, but the table was nicely set, creating a comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and made every effort to communicate with us in English. She went above and beyond to provide recommendations and ensure our visit was enjoyable, making us feel truly welcome.
Now, onto the food. While some dishes left us wanting more, there were highlights. I tried the salmon pappardelle with cream and tomato sauce, and it was decent, though not exceptional. My wife ordered the spaghetti napoletana, which was good but didn't stand out as particularly memorable. However, we were pleasantly surprised by their pizza, especially the half mushroom and half margarita combination—it was genuinely delicious.
Overall, Pasta d'Oro is a nice option if you're seeking an Italian restaurant and don't mind being less fussy about the taste. The friendly service and charming atmosphere create an enjoyable dining experience. With some improvements to the dishes, Pasta d'Oro has the potential to become even more remarkable.
