the staff at alpenrose are the kindest people ever!! special shoutout to the waitress with the piercings, the waiter with the bart tattoo and the waiter who was also kind when i spilled my drink! the food was incredibly delicious, fresh, seasonal and local. the house wine was smooth, the recommendation of the mousse was top notch and i even got some special recommendations for things to see in zurich 💛 everyone should visit alpenrose for the welcoming service and high quality and thoughtful ingredients - definitely coming back next time i am in town!
Love this place. It’s a nice little place where the staffs are super friendly and the food are very nice. Our favorite dishes were the Alpenrose salad and the venison dish (unfortunately we didn’t have photos of them). The space were absolutely gorgeous, an old building that they preserved quite nicely. The long standing establishment shows in the culture of the people. We found out later that they were working closely with the “Arbeitskette project”, supposedly a project helping integration of community members.
I love it when “Omni”places have multiple vegan options and ones that are more substantial than just a salad. I’m not knocking salads, more options would be nice depending on how I’m feeling. ;)
The risotto was quite tasty and fancy. Service was excellent and they hire people with disabilities so that’s enough of a reason to visit. Must be the place for birthdays cause there were at least 4!
