Very delicious food. Salmon salad, teriyaki, all is excelent taste. Lunch time is very crowded. But Thanks that my dog can go inside too.

Decent sushi European/american style. Nigiri’s were also ok of course cannot compare it to Japan. For Europe it is a really good sushi place with many creative dishes.

We’ve been there a few times, and it has become one of those reliable Saturday lunch spots that we keep coming back to, even knowing that the menu is slightly reduced on weekends. In a way, that limitation works in their favor. It forces a kind of simplicity that aligns beautifully with Japanese cuisine. The sushi and sashimi mix, priced at around 34 CHF, is honestly one of the best value-for-quality combinations I’ve found in Zurich. The fish is fresh, clean, and well-cut, without unnecessary embellishment. It’s the kind of plate that doesn’t try to impress loudly but wins you over quietly, bite after bite. Now, experiencing this with a baby adds another layer entirely. The terrace is a real advantage here. It gives enough space to comfortably manage a stroller without feeling like you’re navigating a maze. There’s air, light, and a certain calmness that works well when dining with a little one. We never felt rushed, which is crucial. Some staff members were particularly warm and attentive, naturally engaging with us in a way that made us feel welcome as a family. Others were more neutral, which creates a bit of variability in the service experience, but never to the point of discomfort. What I particularly appreciate is that the environment feels authentic without being rigid. It’s not one of those overly formal Japanese restaurants where you worry about every small movement with a baby. Instead, it strikes a balance: respectful of tradition, yet relaxed enough for real life to happen around it. Another unexpected highlight is their beer selection. It’s surprisingly extensive, offering a wide range that pairs beautifully with the food. For a casual Saturday lunch, it adds a playful dimension to the experience, especially if one of you wants to enjoy a drink while the other manages baby duties. Overall, Yu-An is one of those places that manages to combine authenticity, quality, and a certain understated charm. It works particularly well for parents because of the terrace, the calm atmosphere, and the generally accommodating vibe. I would absolutely keep returning, especially for those relaxed Saturday lunches with a baby, where you want something genuinely good without any unnecessary complexity.

Amazing quality of food, proportional to the cost for a proper dinner. The restaurant is quite small, no minimum distance between other clients. For the rest, I feel to recommend it!
