Yu-An

Good and authentic Japanese food in Zurich with interesting ingredients. Recommend the Aburi Nigiri special which is a tasty sampler of fresh fish. Volcano roll has a nice sauce and is quite filling. Veggie tempura is cooked well but wish there was more. Kakuni (pork belly) is decent but wish it was more tender and the flavor is not that unique. Loved the Yuzu sorbet, very tangy! Overall tasty food but be ready to spend a lot.

Today i had an unpleasant experience and it’s surprising as its not my first visit,i enjoyed my past lunches and menus in Yu an but never again,first,tables are very narrowly placed beside each other and a customer beside me with her jacket and flipped the whole soya sauce bottle on the seat and splashed all over my jacket and i ordered the beef yakiniku beef bento,the first bite had a strand of hair!!! I raised the issue to the waitress and she acted like its normal and offered me a new set.i am already disgusted and disappointed but still kept my cool. My bill came which i have to even pay full charges and not even a coffee was being offered!!!!

Very nice staff, I ordered the poke bowl which was the reason I came for. The portions were very generous and I can’t complain about it at all! Overall really enjoyed my food there!

We ate inside and it was a little too warm. A few degrees cooler would have been more pleasant. Besides that it was excellent.

Beautiful Isakaya in Zurich. They have a great selection of bentos for lunch and a big outdoor area during summer. The food was great, the sake as well! We will be back
