We had another wonderful experience at Kai Sushi! Everything was absolutely amazing again. The sushi was incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared.
What we also appreciated a lot was how child-friendly and welcoming everything was. Coming with a stroller was no problem at all, and the atmosphere felt very comfortable and relaxed for families.
The staff were once again very kind. We enjoyed every minute and will definitely keep coming back. Highly recommended!
Update 2: best spicy edamame in town. Added one more star since I liked it so much.
Update: Went there again for dinner and loved the atmosphere, the food and even had to add one more star.
Rolls were okay, but not something I would try again.
Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing overall. The service was slow, and there didn’t seem to be enough staff to adequately attend to the tables.
One of the dishes we ordered was listed as having teriyaki sauce, with no indication that it would be spicy. However, it arrived with a very spicy sauce. When we raised the issue, the response we received was, “This is the spicy teriyaki, but it’s not even that spicy,” which was not particularly helpful, especially since it was indeed quite spicy for us.
The waitress then offered to replace it with the regular teriyaki version, which we accepted. To our surprise, when the bill arrived, we had been charged for both dishes.
We had chosen this restaurant for a special date night, but considering the price we paid and the overall experience, it is unlikely that we will return.
This place is very cool and the offer is very wide and creative!
I would remove the running sushi part though. There is one in sihlcity and that is more like a fast food approach. This place is or should aim for more. The dishes on the belt looked 0 attractive and the belt as such was also dusty and not clean.
So we ordered everything fresh from the menu and voilà. The presentation was top, the taste was top and it was all nice and fresh. So why would you keep the running sushi there. Is also not a super busy place. I would rather go more a la carte way and its also super cool you can see the open kitchen.
