Great atmosphere and location, but seating can be a challenge
This is one of my favorite bars, mainly because of the atmosphere and the location. They do not take reservations, so getting a seat can sometimes be difficult, and at times you need to actively look around for a free table yourself.
The staff are consistently friendly. Service can occasionally take a bit longer, and sometimes it is necessary to remind them when reordering, but it has never felt unpleasant. The ambiance is excellent, and when the weather allows, it is possible to sit outside for much of the year. The outdoor seating next to the Schanzengraben is a real highlight, with views of the water, the lake, and even the Alps.
Food options are somewhat limited for guests with allergies. For everyone else, there is a solid selection. The coffee is good, and it is a big plus that the bar is also open on Sundays.
Overall, a wonderful spot with a unique setting, especially if you are flexible when it comes to seating.
Raymond is a frustrating place: it is a lively place when enjoying its outdoor terrace alongside the river but would really need to redo its entire indoor space that has no personality, elegance and vibe.
Coffees are great and the service always lovely.
A perfect after-work spot by the river! 🌞🍹
Cozy, welcoming, and full of charm — the kind of place where you instantly feel at home.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and great vibes for a relaxed apéro with friends. Definitely one of my favorites in town!
One of my favourite bars in Zurich. Not on the main street hence less crowded, really nice atmosphere and tables by the river. It's a coffee bar which also serve all sorts of alcohol and gets very busy in the evenings mostly loved by nearby office folks. Very nice for a lunch bite, although they only have pastrami sandwich (pictured). Expensive as all other places in Zurich, nothing exuberant.
