Let me put it this way—this is not just “a place we ate at”… this is where flavor becomes an experience,
Last night’s burger is still on my mind. The meat was perfectly balanced, the onions inside the patty were just right… every bite felt intentional. Nothing too much, nothing missing—pure craftsmanship.
But today…
Today belongs to the börek
That börek… wow.
It’s made with layers as thin as baklava dough—crispy, golden, and absolutely flawless. The outside is perfectly crunchy, while the inside stays soft and rich. You can actually hear that crisp with every bite.
And the balance? Just perfect:
➡️ crispy on the outside
➡️ soft and delicate inside
➡️ incredibly addictive flavor
You end up thinking just one thing:
“They really know what they’re doing.”
Finding this kind of taste in Zurich was a real surprise.
Yesterday they won us over with the burger… today they sealed it with the börek
In short:
Burger = character
Burek (Börek) = art
And both are simply amazing:
Amazing experience at Big Burger Zürich! The food was outstanding and the service was excellent from start to finish. The burger was honestly one of the best I’ve ever eaten; super flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Zürich!
Not sure what is better the service or the food. They use good bread, they dont overdo the sauce; burger isn't too messy and the quality is top notch. Had the classic burger and one of the chicken options, enjoyed both. Fries were good too.
MR.Zehit the owner was excellent.
Very welcoming people and very very high delicious food. The size of burger was perfect and the price very good for the quality of the food.
The atmospher was amazing and very walm.
Best place in the city.
The food was actually very good. You really can’t complain about that. The portion was a bit small, to be honest, and it looked somewhat different from what was shown in the videos.
However, the owner of the restaurant—typical Albanian, as always—was extremely unfriendly and very aggressive. Unfortunately, my card didn’t work, which was entirely my fault, not the restaurant’s. The bill was €25, and I wasn’t able to pay it at that moment.
I only live a few houses away, so I said I could quickly go home, get another card, or simply come back and pay first thing the next morning. As I said, the situation was completely my fault, not the restaurant’s.
But the guy made a huge scene over it. He got very loud, was incredibly rude and disrespectful toward me, instead of showing even a little understanding or patience. He argued endlessly about all sorts of things. I’ve honestly never experienced anything like it.
People should be able to trust each other a little and assume that things will work out.
I definitely wouldn’t go there again, and I would recommend avoiding this restaurant altogether. At the end of the street there’s a better restaurant that probably tastes even better. Stay away from this place.
