Burgermeister Escherwyss ZÜRICH

I visited Burgermeister Escherwyss and ordered the Chilling Burger. It was fine overall – the flavor was unique, especially the bread, which really stood out in a good way and gave the burger some character. The fries were just okay, not particularly tasty or memorable. For a place with this kind of reputation, I expected more from the sides. Also, the prices felt a bit steep considering it's a fast food-style restaurant. I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but the value for money wasn’t quite there for me.

Food is great but why in the world have you changed mayonnaise to the cheap and untasty salad mayonnaise ???? I hated it when all The major burger joints started doing - now my favourite burger place is doing this! Horrible decision. Also the app displays make the visit absolutely unpersonaö and robotic. Where is the interaction? The Maracuja drink is wonderful!

I ordered two burgers, one smashed and one regular cheeseburger. I specifically chose the smashed burger because it is supposed to be cooked thoroughly, and I also included a clear note requesting both burgers to be very well cooked as I am currently pregnant and need to avoid undercooked meat for health reasons. Unfortunately, both burgers arrived undercooked, with visible blood in the patties. Even the smashed burger was not cooked through and did not resemble a properly smashed patty. This was not only disappointing but also concerning given my dietary restrictions during pregnancy. I urge the restaurant to take special instructions more seriously, especially when they relate to health and safety. I won’t be ordering again unless I can trust that food safety is a priority.

Nice alternative to the global burger chains. Burgers are freshly made and meat is not overcooked. Prices are little higher, but still acceptable. There is a little more waiting time involved, but totally worth it. The BBQ burger is excellent and there is a combo that comes with fries (or salad) and a drink.

I love the burgers here but the chips could be improved as they are, im my opinion, too salty and saggy. I also believe that the prices are a bit too high if you compare them to the restaurants nearby. I also find the staff to be amazing.
