Not sure why this place has such high ratings, either we got really unlucky or other reviewers do not care about quality (tasteful) food. We ordered the salmon and goat cheese as starters, the only flavor you could taste on the salmon was dill. For mains we had the lamb and the Zurich fish (with alpine risotto). The lamb was almost disgusting, we couldn't finish it, the worst cut of lamb I have ever had (it tasted and had the texture more of mutton). The creamy polenta was the only food item we actually enjoyed. The fish dish was okay but wouldn't order it again, in fact we were so disappointed with the food we would not return.
The only saving grace was the cocktails and the service. The staff was very professional and this was the only thing that felt worthy of the price and the rating. Step up your kitchen Differente :(
Lots of Swiss cooking that I have missed. Nice surroundings and pleasant atmosphere. Good wine selection and suggestion. Food very good and service is excellent, attentive but not overbearing and friendly
Reservation was easy via Google. Food was not super fantastic but still good & acceptable. Highlight would be the staff nicknamed Dori. Dori was absolutely delightful. She even made special efforts knowing that I came here to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Having experienced so many rounds of bad restaurant services elsewhere, she definitely made our day here. For her amazing service, I must award 5-star rating to Differente.
Tasty food, nice atmosphere, great service and friendly personnel. One of the best chefs in Zürich, imho.
Well worth the hike uphill from the center. But be sure to book a table at least an hour in advance, on some night it's quite packed.
Do not miss the deserts, there is a separate menu for them, I almost missed them. And go for the small versions, the big are huge!

Beautiful presentation with very distinct colourful plates.
The fish was super tender and well cooked. The tartar was unique with 6 types in one plate.
Salad was also very tasty with the perfect seasoning.
Price: ~ 80CHF per person 🍴
