Wonderful Japanese food. Flavorful, colorful, beautifully plated.
I went on 6 June 2026 in the evening. The service is amazing as well the lady server was very kind and helpful. I tried their seasonal mocktail and it is absolutely zingy and refreshing. Their sashimi is fresh. And their chicken katsu curry is good, a little too mild for me cos I tend to love it a little more spicy (but that’s just my preference). Overall, a wonderful meal that made my day much better.
The spring rolls were good and the food presentation was nicely done.
However, the salmon rolls were not freshly made, which was disappointing.
The sashimi also did not taste fresh, honestly, the quality from Coop feels better, and you can even see it from the photo.
Overall, the experience was just so-so.
My experience with the tuna sashimi was disappointing. I expected high-quality tuna but was initially served lower-grade akami/chūtoro cuts with visible connective tissue and sinew - something that should never appear on a proper sashimi plate.
The texture was chewy and fibrous rather than clean and buttery, suggesting poorly trimmed and inferior cuts. Even more concerning, the sushi chef did not initially seem to recognize the issue.
To the restaurant’s credit, the waiter handled the situation professionally and arranged for replacement pieces after realizing the mistake. The second serving was noticeably better.
Still, this fell well below the standard one should expect from a restaurant presenting itself as a serious sushi establishment. Not exactly on my return list.
I arrived 30 minutes before my reservation, the table was set, and they offered me drinks. It's a very authentic place: cozy, creatively designed, everything new and well-maintained. We tried several types of rolls—everything was very fresh, juicy, and made with unique recipes. I was especially pleased with the real wasabi, fresh ginger, and the smell of soap in the restroom; now I want one like that at home. I'm really happy, the staff is very attentive and friendly.
