Dined at Kindli once again — one of those restaurants that has quietly become part of my Zürich ritual. A Michelin Guide institution where the experience is never about surprise or theatrics, but consistency, warmth and effortless old-world elegance. Like reconnecting with an old friend you instantly fall back into rhythm with, even if you only meet a few times a year.

Started the evening with a glass of very old Oloroso Sherry before moving onto the seasonal cream of asparagus soup. Silky, comforting and exactly the kind of understated classic Kindli executes so well.

For the main, the timeless fillet of beef with fine noodles and black summer truffle, paired with Amarone from Masi. Perfectly cooked meat, rich sauce, generous truffle shavings — deeply satisfying without trying too hard.

Dessert came in the form of a few stolen bites from my nephew’s birthday cake, kindly prepared by the restaurant, followed by a 1986 Bas Armagnac to close the evening. One of those moments where dinner slowly dissolves into atmosphere, conversation and warmth.

I’m on record as saying here’s one of Zurich’s finest restaurants and it simply never disappoints.
Beautifully presented interior, friendly professional service..& innovative food- seasonal variations so well executed- & fine wine by the glass as well as a great bottle selection… I cannot speak more highly of this destination.
Casual dining outside on the pavement may suit some ..but for me the lovely indoor environment remains unassailably attractive.

100% recommended restaurant. From start to finish, we were treated wonderfully. Our waiter, Sezer, was very friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the whole dinner, always making sure we felt comfortable. We truly felt very at ease, and the experience was excellent. We’ll definitely be back.
One of our favourite place in Zurich. The food is very well cooked and it is located right in the heart of Zurich. But what we love the most about this place is the atmosphere and the service. Always busy and buzzling but the service is on point. The servers are all super friendly and very accommodating while being extremely professional. Love it.
Lovely atmosphere, staff and food! Highly recommend visiting Kindli for dinner you’re in Zurich. Fair prices for high quality food. Staff are lovely and were not only accommodating of our 6 month old daughter, but actually had a present to welcome her to the restaurant. I loved the veal Zurich style. Still can’t get over how delicious it was. And usually heavy cream dishes make my tummy grumble a bit, but not after this meal. Gotta love that Swiss dairy!
